When I mention holiday, it is always about relaxing by the beach and dip in the ocean. This time round I wanted to go somewhere further. Yeah you guessed it, I am going to Hong Kong in April!!! It was indeed the plan we had for a couple of months back! =)
Me and ckin actually surveyed quite awhile to get the right package. Furthermore, it will be just the two of us hence, we need to think of our expenses there unless we are traveling with a group of peeps then I think we can share a little bit more. Hong Kong's Hotels are expensive though. For a really pleasant hotel it would approx costs about $200++ per night. So imagine, it's almost close to 1k for our 5D4N trip just for the hotel itself!
So being a cheap skate, we chance upon a HK package in deal.com which is really an affordable deal for us! Well, we still delayed a little cause we've got to check thoroughly as we do not want to get cheated in the end and having to pay the same price as the ones we surveyed at the NATAS Fair. Yes, ckin actually took the time to go to the fair alone and keep on calling me while I was at work updating me of each and every HK Package deal that she had enquired. It was really funny. Few days later, we met at the internet cafe, sat and pulled our hair. It was then that we've decided to either cancel and go to Bandung or pick the deal.com package. We have decided to call the agency and check on the prices to compare. I think Ckin must have been thinking about it every night and day unlike me - I was practically busy with my workload.
And again...we decided to meet at the same internet cafe for the 2nd time and continue surveying. Having second thoughts about how boring a 5D4N trip would be to Bandung. So yes, we called the agency again to make sure they quote the right prices. This time round, we were studying the maps in Hong Kong already! And the next day, I end up going to the agency alone and settled everything. I was smiling from ear to ear even though I keep on going back and forth to the ATM Machine to withdraw money for at least 4 times!
